Ritter Library has just added three new group laptop tables to the main reference floor. These tables have 42" LED screens that can mirror an image from any laptop, allowing you and your project group to work collaboratively on a computer-based project. The tables have a surface-mounted dual AC power outlet and a cable port giving access to VGA, audio, and HDMI inputs.
It's easy to use. If you just want the laptop image to show on the LED screen, turn on the screen, plug the VGA cable into your laptop's VGA output, and boot up your laptop. Most laptops will automatically adjust your laptop's display settings to the necessary resolution, and will start sharing your image on the LED screen. If you want to extend your laptop's audio to the speakers on the LED screen, just plug the stereo-mini cable into your laptop's headphone jack. You can adjust the volume on your laptop. If your laptop battery is running low, just plug your power supply into the AC power outlet on the table top.
